The Manchester School Of Arts collection was one of the most cretive catwalk shows I have ever seen. The clothing was thoughtful and ironic, bright and fun, and brought a smile to everyones faces at Wednesdays show for Manchester Fashion Week.
It was clear that the students have raw talent, and it shone through in the clothing and structure of the show. With no information was given about the students or their individual inspirations, it was up to the audience to come up with their own story for each mini collection.
If there is one thing that Manchester Fashion Week has taught me, it is that this city is buzzing with local design talent, and we shouldn't be ignored. The students showcasing here are merely beginning their careers, and I'm sure these collections only scratched the surface of what these budding fashionistas are capable of.
A persnal favourite was the refined digital printing by one of the students, a stunning array of colours on beautiful silhouettes giving a definite haute couture feel.
