Mr Juxtaposition, Michael Van der Ham is the perfect example of someone who can throw together an outfit on a model and make it look perfect. Layers upon layers of different textures and colours make for an incredibly interesting collection every season, and this AW12 show at London Fashion Week kept to his high standards.
Winter blooms were a big focus in this collection, and the colours Van der Ham pulled out of the bag were beautiful - rusty orange, mustard yellows and a mixture of pale and electric blues. Personally, I thought the most impressive part of the collection was the layering of the garments using a version of bandeau I haven't seen before - using knots of rouched fabrics to create a mix of colours and prints in each outfit. And just to make sure there is something for everyone, there is a little black dress and some tailoring thrown in there too.
A beautiful collection, and here is the proof.
